Mark van Overeem (1970)
Mark van
Overeem studied drawing/painting at the Royal Academy in the Hague, and received the South Holland Visual Art Award for academy
graduates in 1995. He exhibited
in Seasons Gallery (the Hague). At the KunstRAi (Art Amsterdam)
and Art Rotterdam, at the APB (Heerlen), Pulchri Studio (the Hague), Galerie Podion (Amsterdam). Kunsthuis 13 (Velp) and at the Free Academy in the Hague, where he also teaches. His work is present in
many private collections, as well as in collections of Artbank (the Hague), ABP (Heerlen), and of AKZO-NOBEL and Houthoff Buruma (Amsterdam). On the occasion
of the exhibition “2-D or not 2-D that is the question”, Galerie Wit published the catalogue “Mark
van Overeem schilderijen | paintings 2006’ (January 2007), with a text by Roos
van Put.
